A Sunday playlist: In a Relient K mood
A Sunday watch: Sacramento (2025)
Make room for something new today.
Make something you’ve had your mind on for a while.
This is what I drew this week. I’m workshopping more short stories.
I drew these out years ago while feeling a lot. I still like these.
Something I’m thinking about:
I’m learning to respect and honor my needs and my boundaries. I’m leaning into the discomfort of the passing of time, when I don’t know. And I’m learning to let go of the “could’ve been”s to find joy and hope in everything that is here, now, before me, including you and me, as we exist presently.
Something that inspires me:
Paper cutouts by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, who famously wrote fairy tales such as The Little Mermaid, Thumbelina, and The Princess and The Pea
Two quotes:
“When the bird of the heart begins to sing, too often will reason stop up her ears.
“Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale.
— Hans Christian Andersen
Until next Sunday,
In case you missed it:
This week—Sometimes, I feel heavy and small.
