A Sunday playlist: Ambient Cottage from The Holiday
A Sunday watch: The Holiday (2006)
I hope to get better at being a bit more okay with
mediocre. (nothing has to be perfect)
Something I’m thinking about:
“Are people born wicked? Or do they have wickedness thrust upon them?” (Stephen Schwartz)
Being human is fierce.
Being human is brave.
Being human is romantic.
Being human is full of pain,
collectively.
I’m thinking about what it means to be good. Morally good. Is to be good simply not bad enough? Is to be bad no longer good? According to whom? What makes one bad? What makes one do bad things?
I’m feeling a lot of weight this week.
Something that inspires me:
Bows on greenery
A quote:
“One never learns how the witch became wicked, or whether that was the right choice for her~is it ever the right choice? Does the devil ever struggle to be good again, or if so is he not a devil?”
—Gregory Maguire, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West
Until next Sunday,
