A Sunday playlist: Chase This Light album by Jimmy Eat World
A Sunday watch: The New York Public Library by Frederick Wiseman (2017) [Frederick Wiseman documentaries are some of my favorite go-to’s for good background noise while I work]
I fear the worst,
I hope for the best;
a fish taco for lunch and a can of coke,
today is Sunday.
Something I’m thinking about:
Jimmy Eat World played at the taco shop I went to for lunch. And I’ve been thinking about high school, my high school friends and crushes, my high school love for life, and fearlessness. I felt safe. I loved my friends. I was in youth group, I was in drama, I was a part of something, it was chaotic and exciting. Anything really felt possible. There’s something really special about this era of my life, and I never want to forget the feeling of it. I hope to sit down and write about it one day.
Something that inspires me:
These pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988)
“I cross out words so you will see them more....”
A quote:
“The more I paint the more I like everything.
—Jean-Michel Basquiat
